Entry-level, full-time, non-seasonal manufacturing positions.  Blanking Operators are responsible for  blanking, weighing or other tasks as assigned while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.  Shifts available include Days (5am-5pm) and Graves (5pm-5am).  Weekly rotation is 4-days on 3-days off / 3-days on 4-days off.  You work 7 days in 2 weeks and get full-time pay every other Friday!!  MUST be flexible to working holidays.  Full benefits package available upon completion of 90-day probationary period. 

Req. #ID16-15            Tooling MachinistCoeur d’Alene, Idaho

Will perform skilled-level work in the fabrication, assembly, maintenance and repair of metal parts and tools with a high degree of accuracy and precision in accordance with instructions and specifications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Two years of experience as a skilled machinist and completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship program, or five years of experience as a skilled machinist or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Req. #NV01-16           Maintenance Technician – Las Vegas, Nevada

Performs a variety of maintenance functions including, but not limited to, installation, repair, overhaul and maintenance of machinery according to plans and blueprints in order to maintain Sunshine Minting’s production capabilities. Must be available for grave and weekend shifts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Minimum of three years related work experience; or Maintenance/Millwright certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Req. #NV03-16            Human Resources – Administrative Assistant  Las Vegas, Nevada

Provides support to Human Resources and Production by performing a variety of administrative and human resources related duties.  Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist the HR team with general HR issues as needed.
  • Assist with Payroll, including pulling time clock records, entering new employees into payroll system, tracking attendance, and miscellaneous reports.
  • Tracking completed training in Unipoint, filing training records, and scheduling of any necessary training as needed.
  • Set up files, including creation of Benefit, New Hire, and training packets as necessary.
  • Ordering and tracking of uniforms.
  • Participates in internal HR trainings with team.
  • Creates and maintains Production worksheets in Excel.
  • Creates and maintains employee reader board.
  • Coordinates all birthdays, anniversaries, and employee events.
  • Creates and maintains an employee newsletter monthly.
  • Conducts New Hire and Benefit Orientations as needed.
  • Assists in scheduling interviews and follow up with candidates.
  • Run errands in the Company truck as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Two years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with payroll administration preferably with ADP.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations is a must. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance, and upbeat, energetic, positive attitude.  Represents the company and the department in a positive light.
  • Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
  • Knowledge and ability of computer skills in Microsoft Office, including intermediate skills in Excel and Power Point.
  • Continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, and creating communications.
  • Strong office administrative procedures, and knowledge and use of operations of standard office equipment at a level generally acquired through 2+ years related experience.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to attend work regularly; be on time and be reliable.

Req. #NV04-16           Quality Assurance Technician – Las Vegas, Nevada

Inspects product throughout the manufacturing process to assure finished product meets the customer requirements by maintaining and completing quality assurance tests.  Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Select random samples per lot and visually inspect
  • Test lot; check weight, rims and hardness
  • Document findings
  • Perform steam tests
  • Test; weigh and measure and perform hardness check
  • Products requiring certification of conformance are measured, weighed and usually checked – hardness is also checked.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to inspect and test jobs in a timely fashion to insure product quality and shipment dates on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic math skills at a high school level.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to details.
  • Must be able to use a bandsaw and fixture to cut samples.
  • Must be able to perform a series of tests including sanding, polishing, etching, reading and logging of grain size.
  • Ability to use hands, fingers, and eyes effectively.
  • Able to set priorities and meet deadlines, ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to communicate with all departments, co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Must be dependable and trustworthy.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and intermediate skills in Excel.
  • Knowledge of measuring tools;  calipers, micrometers, comparators, and scales is preferred.
  • Must be reliable and dependable; ready and able to work at the start of each shift.
  • Must be able to work weekends, rotating schedules and overtime as needed.

Req. #NV04-15           Maintenance Supervisor – Las Vegas, Nevada

Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules; develops and implements policies and procedures; evaluates staff and makes hiring and termination recommendations; ensures staff are trained in maintenance activities and are following procedures. Performs a variety of maintenance functions, as necessary, in order to maintain Sunshine Minting's production capabilities.

  • Must have experience working on electrical (480v), hydraulic, and compressed air systems.  Knowledge of PLCs and automated systems preferred. 
  • 5 years of experience supervising 10+ people in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean, 5S, and OSHA-10 hour experience is preferred.
  • Direct maintenance activities based on established schedules and priorities in meeting operational needs and in a cost effective manner.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of building and facility to determine repair needs.
  • Monitors the workmanship and performance of staff by inspecting projects assigned to and completed by them.
  • Make recommendations on personnel issues including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, disciplinary actions and vacation schedules.
  • Demonstrates a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly with all staff.
  • Performs maintenance and repair work as required.
  • Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance program for all aspects of Sunshine Minting's plant, buildings and equipment.
  • Obtains quotations for subcontract equipment and building maintenance or repairs.
  • Liaises with subcontractors for the performance of any equipment and building maintenance or repairs.
  • Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies as well as all applicable laws.
