Entry-level, full-time, non-seasonal manufacturing positions.  Blanking Operators are responsible for  blanking and weighing, or other tasks as assigned while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.  Shifts available include Days (5am-5pm) and Graves (5pm-5am).  Weekly rotation is 4-days on 3-days off / 3-days on 4-days off.  You work 7 days in 2 weeks and get full-time pay every other Friday!!  MUST be flexible to working holidays.  Full benefits package available upon completion of 90-day probationary period.

Req. #NV01-16           Maintenance Technician – Las Vegas, Nevada

Performs a variety of maintenance functions including, but not limited to, installation, repair, overhaul and maintenance of machinery according to plans and blueprints in order to maintain Sunshine Minting’s production capabilities. Must be available for grave and weekend shifts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Minimum of three years related work experience; or Maintenance/Millwright certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Req. #NV04-15           Maintenance Supervisor – Las Vegas, Nevada

Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules; develops and implements policies and procedures; evaluates staff and makes hiring and termination recommendations; ensures staff are trained in maintenance activities and are following procedures. Performs a variety of maintenance functions, as necessary, in order to maintain Sunshine Minting's production capabilities.

  • Must have experience working on electrical (480v), hydraulic, and compressed air systems.  Knowledge of PLCs and automated systems preferred. 
  • 5 years of experience supervising 10+ people in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean, 5S, and OSHA-10 hour experience is preferred.
  • Direct maintenance activities based on established schedules and priorities in meeting operational needs and in a cost effective manner.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of building and facility to determine repair needs.
  • Monitors the workmanship and performance of staff by inspecting projects assigned to and completed by them.
  • Make recommendations on personnel issues including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, disciplinary actions and vacation schedules.
  • Demonstrates a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly with all staff.
  • Performs maintenance and repair work as required.
  • Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance program for all aspects of Sunshine Minting's plant, buildings and equipment.
  • Obtains quotations for subcontract equipment and building maintenance or repairs.
  • Liaises with subcontractors for the performance of any equipment and building maintenance or repairs.
  • Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies as well as all applicable laws.

Req. #NV05-16           Customer Account Representative/Production Coordinator – Las Vegas, Nevada

A successful Customer Account Representative/Production Coordinator at SMI is a champion for the customer, able to manage all aspects of the account relationship and works directly with production to provide real-time information to the team and Customer Service Manager. They possess strong customer service skills and maintain a professional representation of the company at all times; develop confidence and understanding of the product; troubleshoot account issues and resolve problems; must be able to multi-task and follow through in a timely manner; work well within the team environment and with other departments and have a sense of urgency to be able to work in a customer responsive environment.  Qualifications include:

  • 2+ years of manufacturing customer service or sales experience.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of the customer accounts including quotes, orders, program coordination including new products, shipments, customer owned inventory, and receivables.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment to ensure orders are processed to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, knowledge of accounting and CRM software will be an asset.
  • Strong math skills; ability to calculate percentages, units of measure, currency conversion, etc.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written, including email etiquette.
  • Basic understanding of custom services, products and processes in the manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient typing and data entry, multi-task and detail oriented, well organized.
  • Some understanding of the precious metals industry and international business a plus.
